Phra That Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That doi suthep is the most important temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Built in the early 19th Buddhist century, the beauty of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed serpent statues that line the stairs to the temple where a Chiang Saen style golden pagoda and all its exquisite Lanna architecture is situated.

It is a walking street opening every Sunday. There are many goods, especially local items and hand made items. The street is located from Thapae Gate through Klangwiang intersection and split along the four lines of the intersection to Wat Phrasing. There are local goods, clothing, northern-style bags, pictures, handicrafts, local food, snacks, souvenirs, and silverware, which are not inexpensive.

The Royal agricultural Station Angkhang is the project from the idea of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej in order to support agriculture instead of opium planting. The project began when His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej traveled by a helicopter and passed this mountain peak. He saw a village and then made a visit.

Thanon Nimmanhaemin Thanon Nimmanhaemin (or Nimmanhaemin Road) is located in Tambon Sutep, Amphoe Muang, Chiang Mai. Comparatively, this road bares the resemblance to Sukhumvit in Bangkok. Even the length, and the business size of this road cannot compete with Sukhumvit, the percentage of the road’s luxury and high class shops are similar.
